# RMMETADATA > A free browser-based tool for removing supported metadata from images, PDFs and self-contained MP4/MOV videos. Selected files are processed locally on the user's device. The cleaner supports JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, PDF, MP4 and MOV. Limits are 10 files per batch, 100 MiB per file and 200 MiB per batch (shown as MB in the interface). Files, filenames, metadata and cleaned results are not uploaded to a processing server. Ordinary website asset requests still reach hosting and Google Fonts. Images and video are not re-encoded. PDF cleaning rewrites the document. The tool targets supported metadata blocks; it does not guarantee anonymity, remove watermarks, redact visible content or prevent AI-origin detection. Color profiles and necessary JPEG orientation information may remain. EXIF-rotated PNG/WebP and recognized signed or encrypted PDFs are rejected. PDF page content, annotations and attachments, and some video codec or timed metadata can remain. Keep originals and inspect cleaned copies. These links point to the site's public HTML pages.
